When we take on your project, we'll work with you to build what you actually need. You'll get free upgrades, access to source code if you want it, and phone/email support. And the cost will be so low you'll probably want to pay us more. (We'll take it.)
We write the software. You get a license and use it. We sell licenses to other people too. But don't be offended–this way we have an incentive to develop something useful. We have a reason to offer ongoing (free!) support. We don't charge by the hour, we don't deliver a "solution" that doesn't quite work and walk away, and we don't offer excuses. Because they don't put money in our pockets either.
